Its a little small, having a pyramid section,a 6 foot quarter, and 6 foot spine, and a box jump area. But its a great park, the picture shows the whole park but a wedge on the right of where the camera is, and a vert wall to the left.Related L: www.brickhousepark.com Pt:email@brickhousepark.com / 724-797-6325 Butterbeans, Latrobe Pennsylvania Address: 1305 Memorial Drive Latrobe Pennsylvania Do you have to wear pads?: helmet only Does it cost money to skate?: yes Description : (724) 537-6208 Phone (724) 537-6308 Fax We, John and Heather Baker, Denny and Toni Mytrysak, wanted to provide a place for local teens to go after school and on weekends. Providing such a place gives them somewhere to meet and have fun while keeping them off the streets. Along with the local kids, we came up with an idea for a skate park. The facility consists of various ramps and platforms accessible for freestyle bikes , skateboards as well as inline skates . Along with the skate park, the building holds a game room with various video games , pool tables and vending machines . We also host dances with a DJ on Friday evenings during the summer and fall months. While there is no real age limit to the park, the facility has been designated under 21 to let the public know that the consumption or bringing of alcoholic beverages on the property will not e tolerated. The average age of patrons ranges from 9 years of age to 29. But, most lie in the 12 - 18year old group. Adults are always present tosupervise the activities on the premises. We do convey a relaxed and fun environment while keeping a close watch at all times. Butterbeans, which is open seven days a week, has attracted quite a crowd since our opening in August. We have many future plans for the skate park including expansions to the ramps, a pro shop and a snack bar . Our prices are low compared to the other area skate parks. We keep an open mind for suggestions from our patrons to better serve them. We also host birthday parties and other functions for community groups. Address: Pittsburgh Pennsylvania 1521 Do you have to wear pads?: helmet only Does it cost money to skate?: no Description : As any street rider will tell you, you don't need much to have a good ride. All you need is the smallest little thing to have fun on... one ledge... on raisedsidewalk... a driveway curb... one dirt jump... a picnic table... or just one little ramp. That's all it takes to have hours, days, or even years of fun on, being creative, figuring out just how many tricks you can do on one thing, going off on tech, thinking with a fresh, or even psychotic mind... working it for all it's worth. So just because something is small, doesn't mean it can't be fun. The free city skatepark in McKinley Park, up on the hills behind the Sou' Side of Pittsburgh, is just like that - small, but totally fun. And that the city recently removed the skate-only restrictions at the skatepark makes it all the better (this was more than likely due to budget problems, unable to pay the lady who guarded the place to keep riders out, or maybe they just got smart and realized keeping riders out was just unfair). McKinley Park is is situated up on Bausman Street, which includes a track & field area, tennis courts, and in about the space of a tennis court or two, a small skatepark. It has a nice simple 4-1/2 foot mini, with a big mild transition, with a 2 foot deck on one side, and the other deck leading to a long wedge to the street course. There's also a basic 2-foot tall 6 foot-wide subbox on one side of the mini, that is also available from the street side. On that other side, the street side, it starts with the wedge on the right (looking down), the subbox with book-end ramps in the middle, with a center ramp as well launching you to the sub-box or whatever, as well as a 4-foot quarter on the left side. Small. It's an ok park. 5' halfpipe, tabletop with rails, box, rails, some 1/4 pipes. It's made of metal McKinley SkatePark Bausman Street South Side, Pittsburgh, PA Park Contact:412 488 9119 Penn Skate, Whitehall Pennsylvania

It is located next to Audrey Moore Recenter in Wakefield Park. Wakefield Skate Park is planned to be completed in three phases. Phase one, which opened on April 24, 2004 includes ramps, inclines, and grind rails. Construction for phase two and three are pending bond monies. Phase two will be a Vert Ramp located to the right of phase one when seen from the parking lot. Phase three will be a concrete bowl and will be located behind phase one when seen from the parking lot. Wakefield Skate Park officially broke ground September 8, 2003. This began the first of three construction phases of the facility. The architectural firm of Burgess & Niple Inc. designed the course layout after several meetings with skaters and BMX riders. The contractor, Tan-Kat Corporation are responsible for clearing the land, laying the concrete pad, lighting, fencing, and attendant building pad. On September 29, 2003 Triple "J" Construction Inc was awarded the Elements Contract, and American Ramp Company of Joplin, MO was named the Elements Subcontractor. They are responsible for building the ramps and grind rails. Since local skaters played an important role in making the Park Authority aware of the need for a skate park, as well as helping out in the design phase, it seemed fitting to have a contest to design Wakefield Skate Park's logo. Eighteen Fairfax County artists submitted a total of 82 designs! Entrants ranged in age from four to 18 years old. Entries included sketches, black and whites, colored pictures, and graphic art concepts. The judges had a tough job, but finally selected a drawing submitted by Nate Cherry, a 12 year old student at Kent Gardens Elementary School. If you have any questions about Wakefield Skate Park or suggestions that would improve the park give us a call at 703-321-7081 and ask to speak to Marc Barton, manager or feel free to email us. This park is brand new ... and it rocks. Great location, in a huge park right off the Washington DC "Beltway" (Hwy. 495 and Braddock Rd.) ......... lots of parking ... and it's going to be enlarged later with concrete pools and a vert ramp. Fairfax Virginia should get major props for putting together a great plan ... and 'listening' to the skaters and BMXers when they did the design.
